A couple of Saturdays ago, the kids and I really hit the birthday party jackpot. My friend Amy threw a watermelon-themed (so cute) party for her one-year-old at a charming place called Victoria's Gardens that operates as a working farm, but also as a kiddie wonderland. Think pony rides, hay rides, gardens ripe for the picking, jumpy tent, giant inflatable slide, petting zoo, corn maze . . . To help you think it, here are some pictures of the happy day.The birthday girl and her balloons. The birthday girl's big sister (Snook's friend since birth).Amy pulling triple duty on the slide.Hello there.Wally with his girl.Amy with her girl.Cowboy Bubs really enjoyed his watermelon cupcake. And the horsey ride.Snook was a little less gun ho.This pony was a hit with both of them.
We even got to go home with those personal watermelons everyone loves so much. And cartons of strawberries. Thank you, Amy, and happy FIRST birthday to your girl!
